We work in partnership with the University of Chichester, who approve and validate our Insurance degree programmes.
Who is the course for?
Do you have an Advanced CII Diploma in Insurance?
Would you like to use this qualification to top up to an Honours degree in Insurance?
If so then this is the course for you! Contact us and we will work out from the modules you have obtained in these existing qualifications which modules you will need to cover to obtain a full honours degree in Insurance.
Typically, it will take around 18 months to top up to a degree from the CII Diploma and 12 months from the Advanced CII Diploma. The majority of delivery will be online on one evening a week with a two day introduction to the course in Winchester. Further two day face-to-face teaching sessions will take place during the year, up to a total of six days.
Subject to approval, the whole course will be available 100% online with live lectures and tutorial support.
The degree is validated and awarded by the University of Chichester
What will I study?
The exact combination and number of modules required will depend on what you have covered in your CII qualification but top-up modules include:
- Academic Skills
- Strategic Management
- Contemporary Issues in Insurance
- Leadership and Management Theory
- Personal development planning
- Research skills in Insurance
- The Insurance Business
Why might I want to do this?
A degree is a universally understood qualification so if you ever decided to work outside insurance it provides a clear benchmark for employers when selecting candidates for interview.
The majority of modules covered in the top up are business related and help you develop the skills of critical analysis which are not so prevalent in the professional CII qualifications. Degrees are designed to make you think in a different way and it is development of these different approaches to thinking which can enable you to stand out as an employee and progress more rapidly.
What are the Fees?
The fee is £5,950. This can be paid for via a student loan providing you meet the Student Loan Company requirements.
How do I apply?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org stating which CII qualification you already have and we will provide you will further information and application instructions.
